its about time logic got something like flex time. hopefully itll save me loading up ableton to perfect samples. abletons new warping seems gash compared to the old one. the drum replace, convert to sampler, bounce in place functions and along with all the new amps seem pretty good.

also all the live stuff needs to be figured out, i really wanna make dubstep live on the fly.

Word on the apple support forums is that Logic 9 IS a universal binary and has been installed on PPC machines. I believe that your OS needs to be up to date to do this.

I guess it works, but it's not fully supported. At your own risk, etc.

I'll let you know what it's like. Hopefully i can now transpose imported audio.
Good lad!

Let us know if the upgrade is worth the £150

Also, they reaaaaaly need to step up the automation game. Its precise, but to get like square shapes and sh!t would be awesome, cause they are a pain to draw.
Press control command e and it brings up the event list for automation. Makes it really easy to create perfect lfo automation.

btw Depone finally got logic 9 installed first impressions are :o
Lots of subtle changes but the best bits are wacking in some funk break from one of my dusty old 45s and using the flex edit to tighten up the beats in a couple of clicks then converting it to a sampler instrument and mangling the shit out of it :)
CPU useage is sorted out better too

For example the multi-take feature is awesome, but will only be used in a band situation. In this respect cubase takes advantage... and the argument goes on
yea i know man just depating making the mac plunge possibly on top of a new pc and don't wanna be using cubase and renoise on one box then logic and cubase on the other to satisfy all my geeky workings

After a bit of messing around with audio editing it's still not able to transpose imported wav files. :(

For some reason it likes CAF format - you can actually transpose audio in this format but not wav or aif ( just like logic 8 )

Weird must be missing something here.

Still i can process my imported samples and bounce it with one click then put it into a sampler with another slap of the mouse and then transpose.

gay haven't upgraded to cubase 5 yet but in sx3 had same issue
one of my few audio pet peeves with it
