Why don't you want to use the middle mouse button to open the link in the new tab...?

not all mouse's (or is it mice? lol) are the same...a lot do not have the center wheel button...

One thing you could do, in the events bit, is order the posts for events chronologically, so you can check what's happening by day, rather than having to sift through. YOu could even do a calendar type-thing, though guess that'd be a bit more work...

search seems to only work for words more than 3 letters long.

yesterday the layout looked like an updated version of the old one, now it's back to the phpbb standard blue one with avatars on the right etc. is that a setting I have to change somewhere?

yeh liked it better yesterday, this layout isnt so nice. as pk said as well sometimes goes juts text and no graphics..
