That was a great party. Insane venue, booming soundsystem, hype crowd, cheap drinks, etc etc. What more could you ask for? Glad I went straight to it and skipped FWD. That £7 bought me 4 drinks instead. All the dubstep guys played great sets, and the jungle at 6am was perfect. Also meant I had the pleasure of pulling up both Neverland and The Licence in one night, which frankly sums up just how good the tunes were.
Cheers to Heva, all the Abacus soundsystem people, and anyone else who made it happen. Can't wait until the next one.

Big up everyone who I chatted with in various states of inebriation, and especially Boomnoise with the documented MC skills, and thankfully undocumented inability to form sentences by about 5am. Hope you felt ok today mate!

Safe Safe to all the heads i had banter with at the party, sic venue, sic basslines, blessed heads, DUTTY BASSLINES-- thought i couldnt take it at one point, but a dutty skank out with my fellow raver farrah made it all good.. Hah! Big up to Dan from Tokyo-- you is a G and 4linehaiku who was representing with us at bloc last week.. not forgettin Nathan who cracked me too much joke... plus all those other heads who couldnt resist screwing up their faces to the bass.

Cheers Heva, you is a legend for sorting out this one.

P.S.. If anyone clocked a lost bag--a small drawstring fabric patterned bag, with my drivers license in it and other sentimental shit.. if you happen to clock it and get it back to me id be in your debt!!

That digital clock that was hanging by the window/wall thing struck me as quite amusing as well. It seemed quite appropriate in a way.

Yeah that clock really caught me for some reason. I think it was 5 hours fast or something. Really liked the article on the blackdown blog and the bit about a moment feeling like you're walking into a movie scene was spot on, i couldn't believe my eyes the entire night and I don't think I'll forget any of it either.

i've got photos of the clock but they only show the red neon and look like they could have been done in photoshop. being in the room with an upside down backwards clock is far more disorientating! :)

I'll vouch for them, they were there well past 6. It was all about the front right, by the pillar. I guess that could count as a dark corner though.

Out to Pete especially, now I think about it. Came all the way from Germany for this one, sorry I lost you pretty much instantly at 1001 and the squat. I'm sure you had a great time anyway.

Definatly agree about the movie feel to it, it was post-apocalyptic in the very best way. I swear there was a working modem in one of the little side rooms, in among the ripped out cables, still plugged in with flashing LEDs and everything. And that dog was so relaxed. Clearly a squat party veteren.

Hopefully it was too dark to come out, 6am photos are guaranteed bad news. Would have said hi, but it was a bit, you know, loud. Great set by the way, serious tear out stuff.

Wicked write up Martin.

As someone remarked to me the space looked and felt like one of those abandoned office levels from Doom or Half-Life or FEAR...such a headfuck.

I've had one of the best weekends for a while the last couple of days and its got a lot to do with how wicked the party was on Friday, once again big ups.
