Fucking lol'd. I don't support personal attacks on "artists" no matter how scummy their work is, but that made me laugh.ephyks wrote:This is how Zomboy produces.

"hey bruv, mind giving me all your massive patches so I can make some CHUUUNES?!"
"no, fuck off you ginger"
"I'll zuck ya dick"
"deal"
Then zomboy was born.
NO YOU'RE A LIAR HIS ROOMMATE SAID HE MAKES EVERYTHINGarkade978 wrote:The most frustrating thing is that both on 'Game Time' and 'P.A.R.T.Y' and probably all of his tunes use these 15 second long melodic samples from the Vengeance sample packs.
Personally I have never been into the 'Special Sounds' and 'Synth' folders as I thought nobody who is a serious producer would use these samples containing long lead melodies, but when I saw a youtube comment saying 'Vengeance lead sample', I had a look in this folder and surprise surprise, I was basically listening to an intro of a Zomboy song.
The whole of the lead synths in the intro to 'Game Time' is in 'Vengeance Club Sound 3 / Special Sounds no34
and again the nice sounding synths in the intro to 'P.A.R.T.Y' is in Vengeance Minimal House / Bonus no7
He might as well be using Dance EJay and be done with it.
Look for yourself if you have the sample packs.
Now seeing comments on Zomboy's Facebook page saying 'The intro to game time is the most beautiful piece of music I have ever heard' really really pisses me off.
wow. checked it for myself and you are spot on. it seems like all of his songs are made up of presets/samples. he should just call himself a mashup artsist now.arkade978 wrote:The most frustrating thing is that both on 'Game Time' and 'P.A.R.T.Y' and probably all of his tunes use these 15 second long melodic samples from the Vengeance sample packs.

yea I agree. I mean I'm not saying I've never done it. I have multiple tracks that I made using some of the melodies from the vengeance packs back when I was first making dubstep, but I feel personally that if I'm going to use samples nowadays, it would be for atmosphere or something along those lines rather than make it a main synth line or aspect of the track.legend4ry wrote:You still need an ear for stuff to "work" though when using samples.
