Sorry this is a bit late but I am just enquiring having talked to a mate about this record.

Has anybody else received a poorly pressed copy of this, as according to him both tracks sound like they've not been mastered properly on his copy and are really lacking in sub. He owns quite a few Tempa plates so is aware that the quality is usually top notch. I told him he should probably email Chemical/and or Tempa and get it replaced.

Im sensing something wrong with your mates ears or equipment.

Well everything else is sounding good last I heard, just that one particular plate. If nobody else is having issues with it then he should probably contact the label.

The digital release peaks at aroud 16 - 18 Hz. That's not right in my opinion, seems like this sort of thing has been happening a lot recently. There's loads of releases that have been dodgy recently, feel cheated. Although I have not checked the vinyl, I can only assume the same issues are occuring.

The plate I've got is weighty as fuck man, think he must've got unlucky/has dodgy equipment

Agreed. [CRUNCH011] was really dodgy for me. It's not that there isn't a lot of bass or anything, but it just sounds......like...weird, not enough treble maybe, it sounds kind of watery.

Also, Coki's - Don't get it twisted EP sounds fucking HORRIBLE! I honestly can't even listen to it, it's truly painful to listen to, literally hurts my ears with the screeching. There is absolutely NO bass on the record.

Mine sounds muddy, quiet and generally poorly finished.

Nothing wrong with my equipment or ears.
