Haha pretty much this...but there are definitely some artists in America who are doing some cool stuff, I find that it's just the general American MENTALITY towards dubstep that is what is annoying

From what I gather, Denver actually has a pretty lively dubstep scene, perhaps the best in the U.S. I haven't been able to scope it out fully yet because I haven't lived here long enough.
In any case, if you're a lover of the deeper dubstep sound, you're best bet is going to be the internet: label websites and satellite radio. It's like that with any genre I think, especially Hip-Hop. You really have to search to find what you're looking for because the underground sound is not on the radio for the most part. That's the nature of today's music. Great musicians and musical craftsmanship hasn't gone away. It's just not being promoted as well as it could be by the larger labels and mainstream outlets.
