I have one. It's shit! I completely forgot one of the core principles of making any good cup of tea/loose/bag/dust tea… they all require fully boiled water first. So for example, if you got some green tea going on, its normally brewed at 70-80degress, but you should full boil and then wait 3/4 mins. I bought a tea kettle, thinking great no waiting time, just print the 80degress button and it's be all jolly. It isn't. Taste like piss.
So now i have to full boil (like a normal kettle) and wait.

hm, i've heard that but I've never noticed any taste difference. And I don't like that method as theres no way to be real precise with the temperature. You're just kinda estimating and that can fuck things up more imo.

using that "certain timing" thing isnt very precise as theres a lot of variables there. Cba with a temp bob.

I used to hate tea but someone told me to try green tea and I actually really liked it.
Don't know anything about correct temperatures or anything to brew it at though, thought you just poured boiling water on it and away you go

With a lot of Chinese teas you are supposed to first cover the leaves with some of the heated water and let it sit for 30-60 seconds, throw that away without drinking it, and only then pour the water in to steep for drinking.
This is supposed to get rid of any bitter tasting elements.
Often with good loose tea you can steep it 2-3 times, sometimes 4..
Apparently its also much better if you have a 200 year old Yixing clay teapot...........
