				What's everyone's beef with Scuba? What were the key events that lead to his tnuc status?

				Seriously? Is that all?
Can't be man, that's such a minor. People move all the time, and everyone left dubstep tbh, just hate some people less than others.
He still puts dubstep tracks on his albums.

				It was from his
RMBA lecture in 2011;
“dubstep is terrible now, I’ve spent the last three years trying to disassociate myself with it”

				The thing that got me was these big names was acting like dubstep died or faded away organically.
Something that had the biggest impact was the biggest names in the scene disowning it or straight up saying that dubstep was terrible, then obviously people are influenced by that and it begins to happen.
Also, when Scuba tries to disassociate himself from dubstep, no matter if he's only talking brostep or whatever, then it's pretty offensive to the artists who released dubstep through Hotflush and helped him get the name and reputation that allows him to go to Berlin and make money off playing bait techno tunes.

				Thought it was the 3yr comment that irked most people, basically saying he's been ashamed of dubstep since 2008?

				I dunno. Hotflush released some of my favorite dubstep but he just kind of exposes himself to be a bit of a prick here and there. He's also hilariously grumpy. It's more than a DSF meme too I've heard it joked about from Fact, other DJs etc etc.

				LOL just watching the rebull thing. I'm sure he could be a nice guy in the flesh but boy does he come across as a douche.
BTW, speed garage when it kicked off was massive in Birmingham. And I never went to a jungle night in my life that had a house room. two totally different scenes. 2nd room was always down tempo hip and beats.
must be a london thing

Jungle BITD at the big London events usually had the pirate guys doing house in the other rooms. Raindance and stuff still does, jungle in the main room, second will be something like Back To 93 with the same DJs on rotation.
