Gutted this didn't go off, but a massive shout to all the organisers and DJs booked to play. Respect for all the time and effort that went into organising.
Sooooooooo, who's reaching Goldsmiths tonight!

massive apology and RESPECT to all the DJ's and MC's who made the commitment to come and play, not for fees, but for the love of the music and the freedom to party: Scientist, D1, Heny, Roko, Dokkebi Q, Elemental, Reso, D-Man, H.O.D, Oneman, Boomnoise, Asbo, Rogue Star, Rod Azlan, and G Double.

I love acid at corsica was my alternative last night (I can't really go to Fabric, it's a terrible club imho). My night turned out alright anyways...
Massive respect for the hard work that went into it, was a damn shame it couldnt happen.

Hey all, don't know what else there is to say TBH, it was a hard weekend for free parties. Synthetic Circus on Saturday was a madness, the po came and gassed the joint and arrested enough people. Shit happens basically.
Anyway, I reckon there will be many more Abacus dubstep parties going on, probably sooner than u think. They might happen on more short notice tho. Anyone who wants to be kept in the loop should email
dubstep@abacusssounds.net.

shame about friday, was watiin in leamington till about ringin up the number. Saturday tho went to a techno n dnb warehouse party in Birmingham, the fuzz came there at about 3, only 2 of them and let it carry on. Fair play to them. and then I managed to blag the last set to play some dubstep and got a quite a few ppl who probably hadn't heard any b4 skankin. Was fun
edit: This is Breakbait posting, forgot I was on mates computer

Oh heya I forgot to reply in this thread, cos some others already did but I'll pipe in too and say sorry to all the disappointed people, especially from out of town.

Yea, it was a tough weekend for the free parties indeed. Abacus will be regrouping and rethinking the strategy, but truss that the parties will go on! If you want dubstep to have its own free party scene you'll have to get used to a bit of unpredicatability at times but its well worth it in the end, I think - tho in the years that I've ever known Abacus, this is the first of their parties that has ever had to be outright cancelled!

Why'd it have to be this one!?!!

Sorry again for the disappointment all around, and thanks for the kind words of support.
