Any ideas on how to make the bass in Komonazmuk's REMIX of Badman Near Dark?
http://www.boomkat.com/jukebox/jbFramed ... type=music
This clip has the intro in it so I'd skip to the middle..
Thanks in advance

long long decay'd bass bomb sound w/ a descending pitch with a little waver at the tail of it (thats from a long attack/delay on the modulation)
thats a sick one, not too difficult either, but fucking huge
I can make these in logic on the ES1 rather simply
what are u using?

did a little screen capture
the important part of acheiving this sound is the right-side slider at the bottom is all the way up for pitch... and the mod envelope is at a long -3400 decay so you get that drawn out booooooooooooooooooooooo going downwards (the pitch would go up if you spun the mod envelop wheel over to the attack side)

Nothing utterly amazing, but still, I can't seem to get mine as crispy
Subscape - Nothing's wrong

Can anyone pick apart that bassline? Theres not all that much LFO but the sound is so full and layered, I cant seem to get close.
Sick thread idea btw

Alright, I might be getting there, FM synthesis with lots of saw's and square waves as modulators. Still not as full though, probably sort that with some FX, chorus, phaser and what not.

The bass sound on Hard Step. To me it kind of sounds like 2 things layered together maybe, like a percussive one and one for the filtered type sound.
It's really cool, and i can almost get there.
Any ideas?

Just sounds like a really aggressive filter envelope over a saw/ saw+square bass line. little bit of pitch envelope at the end to make it drop after a certain amount of time. Shouldn't be too hard...

I just can't get that punchyness!

Work on getting a massive flabby saw+square full of high freqencies and unfiltered. Your filter envelope can only peak at the level of the wave you are filtering, so it needs to be huge and load before you filter it right down. Compression might be an idea as well.

Alright, I have one, I know many have been answered already, but i really am desperate to know how he did this, I hope the answer isnt simple, I've been trying to get it with Albino for years:
Crissy Criss - Soap Dodger
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IR0TsLLT ... re=related
All i can work out is that its must have pitch modulation in there somewhere, either with a mod-envelope or the LFO, but i just cannot get the that lead synth line to work. I love it so... i must have it.

Please help! If you can i'd be so happy!

Basic start is 3 oscillators, saw waves tuned -12, 0 , +12 to a filter, i used the scream filter in massive with scream at 1 to 2 o'clock and res up to 11 to 12. Usual LFO controlling filter cut off.
Sounds pretty similar but it's layered into a mid and hi part by freq splitting with some verb on the hi part and some saturation on the mid. Don't know what Crissy Criss uses but it sounds like massive but could be wrong.

Oh and forgot to say there is a square wave wobble underneath it one oscillator tuned at -24, same filter

how do I make this sort of slowed down pitch bend/drop ive seen a couple of people use, example in....
at 0.46 in Swagga by Excision & Datsik
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpAePSP-ni4
and at 0.21 in Culprate - Don't do that
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TNh69jIm6k
is it literally just a pitch bend? Im using massive in FL and it doesn't seem to do a proper pitch bend....
