Seems like everyone's gonna have a go at sheff wed this year because of the whole hillsbrough thing.
Wasn't that Liverpool and Notts Forest though?
Yeah, but Hillsborough is Wednesday's ground.

If we had still had standing terraces I guarantee they would.

Outside the premiership it probably would, clubs wouldn't fill their stadiums otherwise

Why are you discussing hooliganism in reference to Hillsborough?

No valid excuse for someone in the SNH to jump down somebody's throat this time, I'm afraid.

I'm sure this has been mentioned, but anyway, that guy who pushed the goalkeeper in the face just got 16 weeks in prison i think

Don't get my wrong, it was a tnuc move but ffs all he did was push him in the face (not even punch). The goalkeeper dived like fuck too. Surely thats not worthy of 16 weeks in prison? I could go out now, punch someone & the police wouldn't do shit.
Just to reiterate, I'm sure the guy is a scumbag, just the punishment seems so over the top.

They're sending out a message that that kind of behavior won't be tolerated

when it's a player.
For those saying 16 weeks is tough for an assault it's not as tough as those that were sent to prison for years for posting shit on facebook.

Don't doubt it. Not that you were ready to go or anything.

I don't go over Hillsborough, I do try and challenge those misconceptions that were a result of the years of misinformation. This is why I don't hold the fans of other clubs responsible and hence why I wouldn't be having a go.
Not at first anyway
