Say you were employed for 12month and for those 12months you were given 30 days of holiday. If you took all 30 days in the first 6months, then quit, then the pro rata allocation of your holiday over the year would be taken out of your final pay cheque, as technically you were only entitled to take 15 days for the 6month period not 30.

I remember last summer before the end of the school year a few of my friends and I took chocolate milk cartons and stashed them open in a few classroom's bookshelves. We came in and checked them during the year and the smell was rancid. They shut down a few of the rooms for a month to clean them thoroughly. It took the school 3 months after school started to find them. Hilarious.

Yes, yes you would. Though it depends on what you signed first time round...did you read every clause?

well the only public holiday is new years day I think, so yeah if I work then I'll get time and a half. think we're open til 12 on nye and it's usually me that closes up the bar at the end of the night soooo..

what I dont get is that the other barman just took 3 weeks leave this week, dont see how he's able to get new years off aswell.

being the new guy in a place with a low turnover is shit.
