i work long hours and need a ot of repetitive electronic beats beats beats to get me through the day
I'm quite in the same situation as yourself.
I'm listening music for 4-5 hours out of 8, but i couldn't concentrate so well on what i was doing while listening to dubstep, techno and other genres that i was into.
For some time I've started listening to minimal and microhouse and it got me pretty hooked
First as a background noise, but nowadays because i like it
Try it for yourself, maybe you'll like it, but you also might hate it

got that off one of the techno nations comps. some of the best shit ever cause you got like old school gabba, uk hardcore, acid, detroit shit, trance and so on, and it's all techno.
you hear people talking about how open and varied it is right now but it doesn't even get close to that imo. not saying the 90s were better or anything like that cause obvs i wasn't there, not to mention all my rants about retro fetishism, just that from a musical standpoint there was a lot more going on
