Anyone have any idea what the tune Tunnidge dropped near the end of his set was? Pulled it up twice, started with a slightly off sounding bass, long intro, then it drops and the whole tune makes sense. Was fucking BIG. Any help would be good.

Got released last week on Chestplate 10. Flip of 7 breaths. Both went OFFFFFF on saturday!

I was inappropriately drunk. Can remember going nuts at the front, don't think I had a fight though. Fucking hope it wasn't me anyway.

I was outside the smoking area after I left and saw Pokes chasing some guy who was shouting 'I AM DMZ' or something. Was quite amusing.

Makes me chuckle how people do complain about new music coming through at DMZ, Some People need to seriously sort it out.

DMZ have never stated that they push dubstep, it is fortunate that artists like mala loefah and coki share their tunes with this so called bubble of a dubstep world

These lot have been pushing through new sounds for 5 years now, and people who decide to jump on the bandwagon now come onto dubstep forum and moan about a night having some diversity, In my opnion fucking fair play for playing something different in their set. Wouldnt you be bored of playing the same tunes for atleast 5 years running all at the same tempo and time signatures?




And the godfathers for the electronic music followers should carry on their push for fresh new sounds to tantalise our ears with

if it was outlook festival i would have been more open and expectant of all kind of experimental vibes being kicked about, but when your getting hyped up all week over some heavy bassweight dmz vibes expecting to hear the madness live for the first time, its a real let down to not hear a single lofeah tune you were on all week. do you not see the argument or potential cause for dissapointment in these people?? theres no suprise cokis set went ballistic. and malas was very respectable.

its so easy to sound liberal, supporting people being experimental with all kinds of sounds, but really man i turned up with nothing but mental dmz in mind and at times i was just sat there infront of the speakers completely like wtf. =/

also where im from, people are very live and skank about loads to dubstep, when i got there, apart from cokis set, people were just sat there looking like a zombie in space, i was like wtf. lol

i understand what the guy above me is saying completely i was there and it was different from what i expected, from the age of people there to the number of girls to the music
i feel like dmz is falsely advertised as the only safehaven for deeper dubstep vibes but it wasnt that but i did enjoy loefahs set however. just hijak dropped alot of brostep which annoys me cos i feel like them guys just keep turning their tracks louder instead of making them more interesting for better reaction. im deviating a bit but play a bar 9 track next to mala bluenotes or something and there is a noticeable difference in volume levels. i dislike that

DMZ isn't falsely advertised, on the flyers it cleary states "come meditate on bassweight", and there were bare subs there on Saturday.

you must have not read the whole post, i did say "there was no suprise cokis set was mental, and malas was respectable", and they were so because they preached the dmz sound live infront of us, thats what we expect to hear from the 3 ledgends

Yeah mate I live and breathe 'dubstep' but i still love to hear fresh sounds coming to my ears, for example oneman is the master of merging sounds, when he played at FWD a couple of weeks ago he was playing tunes such as i love you into some hessle sounding dubs, and believe me everyone was going OFF.

I see that people expect to hear DMZ tunes everytime they go there myself included, but don't slate artists when they try and bring something fresh or different even to the table, jus look at kode9 the last time he played at dmz the only DMZ tune he dropped was mountain of dread march but his set was all fresh dubs upcoming on hyperdub, and that is one of the most experimental labels around, and he got just as hard a reaction as any other dj that night

I definitely had a hard reaction to that Kode9 set.

sadly i couldnt reach this one,
but I would have loved to hear Loefah's set (his recent mixes are D.O.P.E)
