What's the fact they are basically sea insects got to do with anything? That's like implying a dolphin and a cow would taste the same because they're both mammals. Maybe it's because tradition in various cultures has decided prawns taste nice and insects taste bad. If insects did taste nice to a large enough proportion of people historically they'd probably be a common food all over the world.

I think Prawns are amazing too actually. They look kinda cool, like little aliens with their little sphericle eyes popping out, their little legs they swim with, they are weird & guess thats why they are amazing. But, leave the little fellas in the sea, they would be happier there than sitting on a plate making me gag from the smell. In my ideal world the prawns would be free. Free the prawns!

Id have to agree, there has to be a type of curry you would like. Its not all spicy. Theres many different types, maybe you havnt found it yet...

Not sure i really know the difference. Shrimp is like a little mini size prawn like in Chinese special fried rice?

Because that is disgusting to me. Dont care if they taste nice for anyone else! There are fucking massive squirming grubs in Borneo that people chow down on and Im not seeing anyone rushing to farm them up!

Saying all this people in thailand love a good bug so maybe its just a lack of those types being everywhere that stops people being able to pick them up in tesco for their stir fry.

I wish i had the balls/the option to eat bugs, they have bare protein and are probably very cheap. Its just disgusting tho...

All of these things pale in comparison to mopani worms.
