I must have just thought it was the Big Bang VIP because it sounded so much bigger than on my home system. Thanks for the tracklist though Phig, it's very on point and helps me recall back the night better. So what's the next Ninja event? DMZ LA? Kahn in San Francisco?

If anyone is down to make a trip out of it, I might be in. Anyone know if there are some LA ninjas?

Hmm, as much as I want to go to DMZ, seeing these guys in sf would be so much cheaper. Why no DMZ San Francisco?

Sorry for the sparse replies... work is spanking me right now.
I'd thought about heading down for it but unfortunately can't - my cousin's flying in from Austin that weekend and it'd be pretty lame of me to ditch out on him, although... nah. Yeah, it'd be lame to ditch out on him.
Consoling myself with getting to see Coki up here in a few as well as aforementioned Kahn bidness.
However: another ninja get-down is definitely in order, and I'm down to trek to L.A. for it since I know many heads live in SoCal as well as being closer for you to get to.

Jeeze Phigure. That list definitely seems spot on. That other thing was definitely a Coki tune. I'm not sure which exactly, but it was definitely him. Was it just me or did X-Mas Banger go off exceptionally hard. The system was sounding good, but not amazing. The hi's needed a boost, and while the bass was definitely there, it wasn't as much chest pressure as I would have liked. Also I thought Salva and Eprom's sets were shit. That made Mala's set even better though. Bring on Coki and Seven on July 19th and Jack Sparrow on August 2nd!! And all ninjas should attend Kahn and TZR at Mighty on July 13th. I'm opening! Too bad I can't drop Percy....

And it was DEFINITELY the Big Bang original. I saw VIVEK drop the VIP when I traveled to Dever for the Deep Medi Show a few months back. I traveled all the way out there to see Commodo, Truth, VIVEK, Quest, Silkie AND Mala, only to find out the system was absolute shit. I left to go grab beers during VIVEK's set, because every drop with minimal sub was utterly boring. I can safely say that was not the case at the recent Mala show. The fattty stacks at Mighty better be cranked for Kahn. Fuck it I'm gonna boost the hell outta the gain when I'm on the decks. I've never seen that place cranked to potential. The stacks are like 15 feet high FFS!

Fam he's probably on the next thing anyway. Ask him. I'll probably be in attendance as the DMZ LA trip sounds expensive.

X-mas Banger went off but I think Scrooge's Revenge went even harder. TBH I hated both tunes before cause they're just generic wobblers... but they have their place in the dance. Skream's still got it I guess.
I was at the very front so tbh, the highs were already punishing my ears, but yeah, I can imagine them getting a bit quiet further out. More sub would have been great, no doubt, but it was better than I expected after hearing talk about it taking place in the lounge.
Salva and Eprom weren't terrible IMO. A bit too much of this whole bro-trap stuff that's been going around... I just really started to lose interest though, it was all very same-y. I feel bad, but I really just wanted Mala to step up.
Big ups to Dials for this one though, probs the favorite track of my childhood. Serioooous nostalgia when this dropped.

That's a fucking shame man, I don't understand how they can bring a lineup like that and then not have a system worthy to match that. I even almost considered making the trip out for that too!

Got there no more than a minute before Mala went on so I can't comment on the openers. Other than that I won't be copping their album lol.
