i dont really care about movies enough to be concerned with acting and art direction and effects and undertones and symbolism and allegories and all that , i just want a fun movie with a good plot and passable-enough acting.

I actually prefer the more 'gritty' superhero films, fun = gay

besides the obvious, what are the duties of the director and the producer?

I feel as if the writer should get the most credit, and you never see the big exaggerated credits for the writer.

yeah, so a producer actually is one of the biggest jobs in moviemaking. the "executive producers" don't do shit, they just give a lot of money to the making of the movie and in return make a lot of cash if it does well and get their names listed at the beginning
but a producer is the guy who works his ass off every single day to make sure that the process of the creation of the movie does well - this means a lot of overseeing, giving advice, calls and emails to put certain things in place, connecting the dots, etc. It's a jack-of-all-trades job


A director is the guy who runs the set every day. He briefs the actors, tells the cameramen what to do, determines whether the actors did a good take or not, gives them advice and tells them what they did wrong if they didnt do a good take, etc - he's the bossman of the set, and it's just as important to have a good director as it is to have good actors

Google it next time Randorando.

you can have a great script but without a good director the movie will never come good, and without a good producer it will not flow well or be well edited or shot.

i hated superman until my ex forced me to watch smallville. i liked it and watched it for about 2 seasons then realised how gay superman is. bats is the one
