I've got a few hundred patches for subtractor lying around, along with a big collection of my own.
V-Station VST isn't bad at making wobbles imo, got some good full sounding stuff out of it, with a lot of fiddling.
Of course a patch along is not enough; often sounding weak. It's all in the layering (same sounding, different frequencies/octaves).
Route all and hipass where suitable (above sub >90-100)...play with kick interference eradicating methods..compress.
Sending some hi parts of basses sounds wicked with a *pinch* of appropriate reverb too. Gives it some thickness and life.
Tube saturation (via scream 4) can be nice and grimey.

Bassline sounds easy to make, but it's actually quite challenging as is any music I suppose. But it's more being knowledgeable than musical I reckon with it's signature simplistic melodies.
