Yeah I heard this too, so I've not bothered watching it either.

Bjackman, I just watched 'The Mist' last night and thought it was horrible. Almost turned the movie off until that bitch got shot, then it was at least slightly managable.

juno is by no stretch of the imagination part of the 'worst film' clique

First off...diss04, this is an opinion thread...

2nd, with Airborne, it looks like every single decision that was made, regarding that film, was prefaced with the phrase "Ah, fuck it"

"Ah, fuck it, we can't get anyone better, let's cast Seth Green"

"Ah, fuck it, we have no idea where to take this ridiculous story, let's just spend an entire act showcasing a boring rollerskating race"

so on and so forth,

edit: And fuck it, I'll bite. Juno really is one of the worst and over-worked films I've ever seen(and if you wanna try replying with something stupid like "you must not have seen many movies", you got another thing comin'...).

I'll just give a couple examples, off the top of my head, why this film was a painful exercise for me just to watch:

1. Jason Bateman's character was supposedly a huge fan of the Melvins. No Melvins in the soundtrack, and the song that him and Juno wind up playing together...."Doll Parts" by Hole?!?! Let's just hope King Buzzo got paid.

2. Juno's character bringing her "stack of cool cd's", she mentions Mott the Hoople and it's on the top of her stack...notice there's also a Mott the Hoople cd at the bottom of the stack. That is a classic textbook case of trying, WAY too hard.

3. The subtle but impossible-to-ignore racism. How the only non-white characters are either stereotyped(The pidgin English the Asian girl protesting at the abortion clinic), or downright idiotic(Michael Cera's friend on the track team who tells him he's free-balling just to bump up sperm count)

4. The downright baffling placement of music talking about how a relationship could never work, right over the scene showing Juno's realization that she loves the Michael Cera character.

I could be quite assumptive right now and say there's a part of you defending Juno because of your love of Arrested Development. My girlfriend dragged me to that disaster in the theater, just because of Michael Cera(and if you can believe this, she still hasn't learned her lesson and is very tempted to see Hancock because of Jason Bateman, fucking gag me). She hated the film, too.

k, no offense, but that's not a good way to voice an opinion(telling me my choice has no business in this thread).

But yeah, I hate that film with a passion and decided to expound a bit in my previous post ;)

Yeah, we're good, I just *really* hate that film, hehehehe

edit: To go a bit further, too, when I was watching Juno, I was constantly feeling the urge to compare that film w/"L'enfant" by the Dardenne Bros., which I recommend VERY highly. I find them to be a fascinating comparison, actually.

Mitchell Goosen at your service. Don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Don't care. As long as I live near the beach and don't have to wear a tie. Then I'll be stylin'.

Yeah, Airborne sucks

I always get the impression that Seagal's playing it for laughs. Nobody can be that po-faced in films that bad.

I really fucking detested Nick Love's Outlaw. Absolutely worthless waste of celluloid and my time.

Most things with Dannie Dyer in them generally are, though
