Basically, it's a saw wave modulated by a sine wave, modulated by a saw wave (I tweaked some of the harmonics on them, though) And I also added chorus, EQ, and reverb.
Synth sounds alright but can we hear it without the FL stock drums first please just to hear what's going on?

Soundcloud
Pretty nice bro

Really nice actually.
Saw modded by a sine that's modded by a saw. Sounds very simple, but the outcome was great dude.
Ratios? Any details that you didnt mention?

'1' - Saw, '2' - Sine, '3' - 2nd Saw. '2' Mods '1' 100% and '3' mods '2' 35%
I linked 1's input modulation to Mod X and 2's to Mod Y
For the harmonics, I just messed around a little bit and didn't get to crazy.
EQ - turned up the low bass a bit
Fruity Chorus - FatClean preset
Reverb - Drumroom reverb with the size turned up a bit.
Maximus - Just turned down the little circle things a little.
EDIT: It sounds amazing with the vocoder on it. So go ahead and try messing with that, too.

Just my thoughts, that aren't going well with my previous post.
Post i made from page 53 that no one read. please read it i put a lot of thought into it haha
About Growling
1. the growl needs a very low bass frequency in which the mid heavy frequencies are contained. what i mean by this is you should be aiming to make these sound "nuggets" or bursts of sound or a mid heavy frequency at a much lower frequency. this is a tough concept to put into words, but i like to think of it like the kick in this video
.
I realize how old this post is, but if Hook reads this, or anyone really, could someone explain this like I'm 5?

Hey guys so I have a few questions and comments:
1. I'm being serious when I say this, but I might record myself burping and then running that though a vocoder, and resample it, and it think I could get a good growl out of it. Just an epiphany I just had.
2. I LOVE vocodex. I recently moved from FL Studio to Ableton and I'm missing my vocodex

I've tried google searching everywhere and I want to wire it to ableton but idk how? I tried moving the .dll to abletons custom vst folder, but it didn't work. It's not a bit issue because I tried it with jbridge and that did not work either. But I've seen it done, so how?
3. Also I think I can get a pretty decent source sound for a vowelly growl, but to be honest, I can't get a good post processing chain.. I have seen the formant charts but I don't know how to use them and I've tried researching.. I've seen virtual riot with a random non-stock formant and it just changes the dB on each point in the EQ to and from 0dB.. I stray how it works? Also my effects chain sucks, like I have watched like 20 tutorials (including 4 professional ones), and I have read every damn page of this thread. I usually do something like source sound, trash 2, eq for vowel, multiband compress, eq again, trash again, compress again and to be honey it sounds like crap. Sounds way too filtered and not vowelly enough. Where do I begin?

The vowel movement is a bit too resonant, and if u change the source sound to something more reese-y, I think you'd get closer

Swapped out the wavetbales, made it more vowely,
Post processing is shitty, need to make it sound more wet and less compressed
Its the eq'ing I reckon thats fucking me over too, but i'm nearly there
Soundcloud being a bitch, will upload later

For the vocals i used very cool loop that Image Line provided
Okay, first of all, i used the same FM8 and Vocodex patch OcularEDM provided, using the same automation tip for A-F modulation. Since Im not very familiar with resampling i didnt go for that. I just added EQ after Vocodex where I put Band 2 level all the way up. and Band 3 level all the way down (Im using Fruity Parametric EQ2). After that automated Band 2 to get that vowely kind of sound. Then another EQ to boost some mid frequencys. After that, I added Guitar Rig 5 and loaded formant filter into it, little automation for it aswell. Then another EQ to clean whole thing and that's it!

Pitch automation is also important!
So, the effect chain would look like this:
Vocodex
EQ
EQ
Guitar Rig
EQ
I didnt use any distortion plugin on it, so you might get some better results by slamming, for example Ohmicide on it
Hope this helped just little, if not i can post some screenshots maybe!

If anyone was having trouble making this, it was because I accidentally called the triangle waves saw waves. I don't even know how that happened.
