i don't think you can in windows 7 or vista anyway come to think of it.

What operating system do you have?

If it doesn't sort it, you can do a system restore and you'll be back where you started, no worries

sorry i hated myself for it but i had to do system32

If you have Windows 7
Start Button --> Right Click on computer --> select properties --> Advanced System settings (Found on the left column last one) --> Advanced tab --> Under Performance click settings --> remove visual effects that you don't need to.

Click start button --> type "turn windows features on or off" --> click on the thing --> Get rid of things you don't need

Click start --> control panel --> uninstall a program --> remove all programs that you don't use --> remove menu bars

Start --> system configuration --> Services --> check mark hide all Microsoft services --> uncheck services that you don't use --> click startup tab --> remove programs that you don't need to start up when you turn on the computer ie. all I have is my anti virus

Originally I thought it might be that I have too much shit on it, but I've deleted loads since. Then I thought it was maybe my internet, but we recently signed upto Virgin (2 days ago) and its still slow as fuck
