this is a complete rarity in house. i usually find that a producer will make one outstanding banger and then the rest is complete generic shite.

Not really into poppier stuff, but this definitely cheered me up today.
Can't beat Shola Ama's voice. Shouts out to Toddla T as well.

8s definitely pack a punch, dunno about 5s or 6s though.

What are you playing? Is it even metal?
Old skool thrash metal with a bit of crust punk and a wee hint of beatdown HC for good measure... Mostly just balls to the wall thrash though really, my other band isnt metal in the slightest though
Badly edited promo vids ftw... yes we are cheesy as fuck!

6s are pretty weighty too, not bad at all

just downloaded a programme that lets me re-arrange my programme icons in xp
i realise that this is nerdy as fuck but it really annoys me when something crashes and they're out of order. i usually end up having to close them all and open again, which is a pain in the arse when they all need logging into

What are they?

they're dynaudio BM12As
you guys got your speakers properly isolated to get the best out of them?
mine have granite chopping boards (with rubber feet) on the floor, then blue tack with speaker stands on top of them, the stands are filled with atabites (lumps of metal basically), isolating pads on the top of stand and then the speakers on that
it makes such a difference to the sound - much tighter and better controlled bass

Even if the speakers are magnetically shielded? or is that for something completely different? I can imagine the aesthetics go out the window once you bring in the chopping boards and extra stands

magnetic shielding just means that the speakers don't fuck with appliances nearby (mainly old style CRT computer monitors), but it could also fry hard drives if you put a laptop on top or anything like that
the aesthetics are great actually. the granite's a nice finish as it's meant to go on table tops
stands look nice too
basically the point of acoustically decoupling speakers is to stop vibrations adversely affecting anything else and meaning that the only thing you hear is the speakers themselves - not the speakers interacting with everything else in your room. you could spend thousands trying to do this but speaker stands are an easy and inexpensive way to start, and most rooms will benefit from raising the speakers to a good height anyway
