Sorry about your family situation, can't imagine how rough that is.
It's the situation that's abnormal though, you shouldn't be obsessed with trying to change yourself
and be 'normal'.

(ah, I'll just agree with what kay said :) )

dub for dessert.. i can tell you know i am going through THE EXACT same thing with my sister.

she has just lost her 2 kids to her ex husband.. and she's had to return back from america so she can't even see them, and when she was there it was supervised visitation..

now she's come back to england and as she was an ex junkie / coke head.. you name it.. well, she's started again, she's given up all hope of getting those kids back and I love my nephews dearly.. man I'd do anything to hear them go 'GEEOGE GEEOGR UNCLE GEEOGE' and play with them (in before.)

but as our kid has been on nothing but self destruct for the past 10 months it breaks my heart that I doubt I'll get to see them again untill they're old enough to forget who I am, and for me to have not played a part as their uncle.

Thankfully kiddas getting her life back on the rails a little but you know baby steps, things don't come over night.. and unless she falls on billions of cash, she won't get full custody as my bro in law has millionaire parents and he does alright for him self too.

you know, everyone's got baggage, and that last person you expect will be suffering just as bad as you.

you are not alone and I have a feeling you probably wouldn't of expected someone like me who's so, well, laddish to be dealing with shit like this.

throughout my life I have dealt with constant suicide attempts, immediate family who weren't there for epic amounts of time.. but i'm not ashamed, that's life, that's what you get given, you can't chose your path..

I don't know what the gritty details are youre going through, and you don't know mine, but we don't need to know that.. it aint a contest, we're all on our own flight paths so don't be afraid.. as like I say, that kid sat 2 rows behind you on the bus or whatever might have a whole stack of shit going through his head but on the outside he's smiling.

you are not alone.. please know this.. family shit is the worst and trust me i've seen some fucked up life changing shit so i know where you're coming from.

be brave

Wow that is rough :?
Whoever told you to fuck off like that, they weren't your friends in the first place (and definitely not falling back on material), so you didn't lose anything too valuable.
You'll pull through... a lot of people wouldn't be able to handle half of that.

Doctor telling me I should take Oxys over thc pills for my ankle pain... I already have a green card but I can't smoke because of surgery on my mouth and I don't want to take Oxys because I come from a family of opiate addicts.
so now I'm bedridden with my cat sober and in pain. FUN

Cocaine. IMO. More fun. More likely to lead to fun situations. Feels good too.
