You summed up your position quite nicely yourself:
Alien Pimp wrote:uniting the present with a point that doesn't exist in order to create the illusion of more than a point - beats my understanding how that works
In other words... you don't understand. If you don't understand something that doesn't mean it's not true; it means you've not read, investigated and understood enough. These are your failings, not ours and certainly no reason for the arrogance you've displayed in this thread.
So apart from you not understanding it - why doesn't time exist?
Please... if you're not going to reply with something vaguely on topic, just let everyone else get on with it. For once act like a gentleman.

yes baby, i'm asking since ages for an answer to that, but since you read the thread in depth i'm sure you already knew that
so now i'm quiet waiting for an answer
but not from you please!
you keep explaining ontopic things like alien pimp's failures

Why should the majority offer up an explaination of something you personally don't understand?
You come in here saying "I DON'T BELIEVE IN TIME" and expect everyone else to be on the defensive? You're the one making the outlandish suggestion... you're the one that should be providing the reasons.
For me, the existance of time is all around. You have to think pretty abstractly to even think about the possibility of it not existing and even then, it's far easier to believe it exists as a dimension in some form or another. Relativity functions pretty predictably and other equations that include Time also work perfectly well... so you are the one that carries the burden of proof... YOU are the one outside the "accepted" story.
Why doesn't time exist? Please... some science... no insults, your thoughts. Prove that your worthy...

and considering how many times you ignored my requests to leave me alone, each time i see you saying "please" to me i instantly fart
then i ignore your shit. unless it's more funny to do the opposite of what you asked
so you won't say you don't know where that comes from

i'm sure you already know the answer as you told us you read the thread in depth and nothing ontopic for 7 pages, so you gotta know your words

Everytime you mentioned it you said you didn't believe in it because nobody had explained it to you.
Just because you don't understand something does not make it untrue, it just makes you ignorant.

yeah baby, you proved you know your shit, you gotta be right as always
like that time when you said nothing in the thread was ontopic for 7 pages and that got you bored. then you continued the line

Just turn a blind eye... you've won in your head and that's all that matters, right? Just chill and leave it for once.
Back to dimensions...
how many times did i ask you the same thing in many threads?
well baby....
there is one escape though, and you have to step out and let others answer:
someone explain me where does the past go when it goes, because apparently it doesn't totally disappear.
then i'll know how to connect dots in the past with other dots like in the vid
simple for smart guyz like everyone here
isnt the point of time, as a fourth dimension, that as a three dimensional being we can only see time as the single point of the present? much like if a two dimensional being was able to see a third dimensional being, he would only ever see it as a single object of length and width, that would be constantly changing, instead of seeing it as a whole?

cheers for the answer, first attempt at normality here
but:
all those assumptions about how many dimensions you can perceive if you are 3d, 2d... are just guesses based on nothing
it is never said we perceive just the present because we are 3d is no logical connection between the two facts
actually, as you say yourself later, based on those principles, we shouldn't perceive time at all. or if we do, we should be part of it and be 4d
and anyway, what we perceive is besides the point, my question was about something else
so it doesn't really work, but thanks!

The way I understand it:
Time is (obviously) not a physical thing, it is a 'process'. It is something we, and probably all physical matter can only 'understand' or perceive in the present.
We are unable to 'see' the future because it hasn't happened. We are unable to travel into the past because we cannot produce the amounts of energy required, plus it's probably just not possible. Although in ways we can 'see' the past from the present, as essentially, that is what the present is anyway. Nothing you see is the present strictly speaking (as light takes time to travel, and your eye/brain takes time to interpret this input).
Weirdly, although time isn't a physical thing, it is maleable (spelling?), and is effected by gravity alot. I couldn't tell you why, but it is.
Alien are you from the UK? There was a really good programme about time I could link you up to if you are (or I guess you could use a proxy if not)

am i a bad person for having thoughts such as,
"if i ever met this 'alien pimp' in person, i would automatically hit him in the face. regardless if he was 4x bigger than me, and i knew i was going to get a horrible ass beating from him afterwards, i would still do it, just because i know it would feel REALLY good to punch him in the face one time.....", ?
does this make me a bad person?
