This is a very rough excerpt of a song i have been working on, trying to make it chuckle a little on the low parts. Let me know what you think :] all feedback welcome, good or bad!

I dunno what people will make of this one, it's a wip still, but I'm actually thinking not including any drums... Which is probably crazy given that this is dubstep but to hell with it I don't care. This is a really ambient melodic kinda tune. I figure drums would ruin this one. Also quality on soundcloud is doing something weird to my double bass, not sure what it is, the mp3 320 I have sounds fine then I listen on soundcloud and there's a bit of a buzz to it if anybody could tell me what that is or how to fix it it'd be much appreciated. It's probably something hideously obvious.
Also I have lyrics and melody lines for them written for this one but I won't be able to get them recorded till next week. So there will be more going on in the track in the end.
Soundcloud
Will crit when I get back home tomorrow and obvious crit for crit as usual

Would really appreciate crit on this one, like really desperately, I want this one to be the last track on my solo EP. I need it to be perfectly crafted. I'm not being lazy on this one and letting myself do my usual copy and paste jobs or just throwing in additional background sounds to help make the tune stronger. So I'd really appreciate your input guys

Well this is a great start to an amazing tune.
If you are interested in trying some drums, I would go for something tribal.
Timpani probably... maybe temple blocks?

I'm not sure if i should go for drums :S I may try that though, that sounds like a good idea, if I do have drums they're going to have to be very understated I think, which is why I'm avoiding putting them in so far, I'm a bit wary, but that sounds like a good idea some tribal drums would sit nicely I think. I'll certainly try it, thanks man.

I agree that they would have to be subtle.
Like how you can only hear that train whistle from the next town over when the air is cold. That sort of subtle.

This is my first post here @ DSF and I'm hoping if I can get the hang of this dubstep stuff it certainly won't be my last!
This is also my first attempt at producing a dubstep track, and as such I am aware that it may not sound right just yet, but it is in fact a work in progress and I hope to some day complete it. I originally started producing trance/breakbeat and eventually hip-hop music, as well as extensive remixing and DJ'ing but I really would like to transition into dubstep and my goal is to become a professional artist someday, producing tracks for a label
So here it is:
Soundcloud
I truly appreciate any and all honest feedback,
thank you
:edit: btw kaiori that track is beautiful

@Skigh nice progression, has the potential to be a banger! it felt as if the drums could come in the same time as the bass, but that's just my opinion.
here's this tune i've been working on, fairly pleased with the first half, not sure about the rest, so if someone could give it a listen it would be appreciated

@ hakka - Hey dude, diggin this track, nice and heavy. Like the samples too.
@ Kaiori - Very nice chilled out track. I agree with the others about the subtle tribal drums, think it'll sound nice.
@ Skigh - Sounding good, Like the snare or clap or whatever that is. Sounds cool.
@ Mashmash - Nice track, like the sampling and ambience of the clap.
Here's a really rough track i've just started writing. Going for something a bit messy and thrashy. I need to build the intro and work out my levels a bit but should be a decent listen. All feedback welcome.

This is really nice. great drum work and the hardstyle/thunderdome style kick drums really give it menace.
I'm really liking the lead sounds in this too. what synth did you use if you dont mind me asking?

@Olux: sounds like a decent start. My golden advice, use a good solid midrange lead

@Mashmash: dunno it kinda lacks alot of power, not having to do with your levels. it just lacks solidness imo there's still alot of work to it

@Skigh: don't bring in your wobble so early

wait till after your real drop to drop it hard. flow is pretty nice, just needs some filling up elements.
Took some advices from feedback, here's a newer version
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/341386
It's on NG , it's not on soundcloud, that doesn't mean you shouldn't click & have a listen

thanks for the feedback guys! the initial wobble is actually a diff patch Im just gonna remove the channel altogether, you're right for sure you cant even hear the changes in string programming because that first bar is unnecessary. I'll be sure to post up my next render of that track, I've added some more percussion elements and stuff... most importantly I'm having FUN making it lol
thanks again
olux I'm really feeling that track as well, it is certainly well structured and sounds great

@ Olux the intro was a little dragged out in my opinion. its just really long but thats not necessarily a bad thing. i also agree with that other people said about filling out the mid-range but everything else is sounding pretty good but im really new to producing so im still learning so i dont really know what else to say.
i just picked up massive and played with it for a few minutes and threw this together. im not sure if im going to make this into a full track or what im gonna do with it but id like opinions

 thx
