I think the fear people have of acid is because it gives you true hallucinations, unlike shrooms. First time I tried acid I was incredibly surprised. had ~200mics and was worrying about the intensity, seeing as I'd tried shrooms lots before and it's always an incredible mindfuck. It progressed in to a lovely, euphoric trip. Visuals aren't as heavy on acid as people make out until you step over 300mics I reckon. I've had much more intense distortions on shrooms, and they scare me at higher doses, whereas I think I could push higher on acid. That said, I've always thought I have a high sensitivity to tryptamines. I haven't gotten into the retarded doses of acid yet (COS IM BER POOR INIT), but acid's always struck me as much more manageable than shrooms. Shrooms kinda take you wherever they want, while acid takes you wherever YOU want.
Never understood the logic of those people who eat shrooms all the time, but won't touch acid because "it seems scary".
