that's the fault of your preconceptions and nothing else. they can play whatever they want to at their night. if you don't like it then don't go again but i for one think that it's nothing but a good thing to be pushing different soundscalbo wrote:The rave is called dmz.

that which is on the dmz label
what are you talking about? dmz didn't even properly announce a line up let alone advertise itself as deeper dubstep vibesaddicted wrote:i feel like dmz is falsely advertised as the only safehaven for deeper dubstep vibes
it was my first time and whenever people talk about it, they always act like its where the purest dubstep gets played, not the dmz gang themselves.badger wrote:what are you talking about? dmz didn't even properly announce a line up let alone advertise itself as deeper dubstep vibesaddicted wrote:i feel like dmz is falsely advertised as the only safehaven for deeper dubstep vibes

DMZ have never stated that they push dubstep, it is fortunate that artists like mala loefah and coki share their tunes with this so called bubble of a dubstep world
These lot have been pushing through new sounds for 5 years now, and people who decide to jump on the bandwagon now come onto dubstep forum and moan about a night having some diversity, In my opnion fucking fair play for playing something different in their set. Wouldnt you be bored of playing the same tunes for atleast 5 years running all at the same tempo and time signatures?
And the godfathers for the electronic music followers should carry on their push for fresh new sounds to tantalise our ears with

dont know why people would think differently unless they dont know about how dmz nights go down.
i get that you expect them to play the fundamental stuff and the rave to have that vibe...
but come on man, you tryna tell me you didnt hear any proper hard dubstep? not from tunnidge? not from mala? not from quest & jay 5ive?
that was there and then some. give these guys a break, just cos you didnt get a "normal dmz" all night you see it as a disadvantage to your night.
Hardrive - Deep Inside, although there are many remixes kicking about so may have been one of themclifford_- wrote:still a couple of tunes i wanna id if anyone would be so kind!

If I was on my tod and I only lived 5 stops away, I'd still go...that's just insanity.skaarlaw wrote:Nobody was available to come with me, didn't wanna attend on my jack. I played halo reach instead. WHY AM I SO STUPID?!?!?!?!
When's the next one @ london? preferably @ mass too since it's like 5 stops away from me lol
trains are pretty fucked on the weekends tho, so if the line aint workin it might take twice as long to get there and worse getting back. doesnt really make you wanna go but then i suppose it is worth it for a dmz.apmje wrote:If I was on my tod and I only lived 5 stops away, I'd still go...that's just insanity.skaarlaw wrote:Nobody was available to come with me, didn't wanna attend on my jack.
