Yeah, this was big, although think it was more a case of the USA throwing it away than France winning it (although they did swim amazing). I think Phelps should have gone last, with him being the strongest swimmer of the 4

well lochte (the last leg guy) beat phelps in the race yesterday

so who knows? The french guys dive was what did it, i swear he jumped about a metre further than everyone else!
The womens road race was big, chris boardman with his stopwatch giving better timechecks than the official provide

Never felt so tense watching sport before haha.
edit: the fifteen year old lithuanian girl was quite something too!

Hmmm, I didn't know that, just felt that the 4th swimmer for the US was a bit slow on the final 50m, compared with the other 3.

all about badminton
(discovered that francetv broadcasts all sports live on the internet; that's good news as i can't access the bbc from france and as french tv being french tv, it basically only broadcasts things when french athletes are involved)

There's a girl staying at my girlfriend's house for the next few days because said girl's best friend is competing in the fencing for Germany. A quick google confirmed the fencer is Monika Sozanska:
I hope I (somehow) get to meet her.
