Random thought.
So if you were to rob a drug dealer of all his drugs..where would that fall on the moral scale?
Morrally Right - OK - Wrong ?

Are you relieving him of his product for your own means (to resell/ingest) or to dispose of?

Slim Charles is a close second, but he did shoot that kid with the inhaler when he and Cutty went after Fruit.

Slim Charles is a loyal soldier/enforcer, but the only 'moral' thing he could be seen as doing is capping Cheese in retribution for Joe. And even then the 'eye-for-an-eye' mentality is a moral grey area.

Was 15 down the pub (ruined, spent about £40 down there (dunno where I had £40 from when I was 15, and this was 2005 in a cheap pub), and as it was getting late, a few people had gone, and we were still on it, properly wrecked by this point, drinking smirnoff ices because they were about a quid cheaper than a pint. £1.49 to be exact.

Anyway, we ran out of money, and we're sat near some friends handbags (they'd gone off somewhere), my mate just shoves his hand into this handbag, I'm like "What are you doing dude?", he's like "getting money". Pulls out his hand, has a handful of change that adds up to exactly £1.49.

Hilarity ensues.

CRIME PAYS KIDS.

Loyalty comes very highly rated in my book - it's worth more than a lot of supposedly moral actions. Slim Charles, criminal or not, is an honourable man.
Honour & loyalty > A seemingly arbitrary morality.

But then, that's the whole thing with The Wire. Every character has to compromise their integrity for the greater good/to survive or don't get the bad guy/get merked.

But I digress.....

Bin laden had loyalty, its not necessarily a good trait

To me if you pay minimum wage you deserve to get ripped off.
to me, if you're working at a grocery, you deserve to be earning minimum wage.
I used to work at a co-op before i came to uni & minimam wage is a fucking joke. Working 10 hour shifts being treated like shit for £6, fuck that. I robbed that place bare, I have no idea how i never got caught (tbf it was a small one & the manager was some 30 yr old piss head) but yeah like noam said you take the risk, if i would of got caught ida' been royally fucked. But i didn't, so go me :W:

I make well over minimum wage at a grocery store though. 30% more.
Wouldn't begin to think about working at a diner/bar
