What are the positive steps the govt can really take, save for more surveillance and less public rights? Can you teach multi cultural integration in Home economics in schools? Do you make language school for immigrants free and even compulsory? Or is it all a result of the govt screwing the economy so badly in the company, that like in all times and countries suffering austerity, the public become polarised with the extreme right wing (and less extremist such as UKIP) gaining popularity?

I don't doubt the govt will use this to reduce the civil liberties and privacy online (it's been the news story all morning about Theresa May's stance on the Citizens Internet Privacy bill).
