no worries bud, i'd offer to take tunamaster duties but its complicated this wkd, i can take next week if neither nwj nor you are up
heres my feedback:
@JizzRelka: liking the tribal take on 160. i agree that maybe the sub could have more presence in the lower midrange and maybe some more variation to it. also not sure if it's this minimal purposefully or just WIP. i'd like to hear more things going on in there, maybe some hectic/random variations on the percussions. also it's totally begging for samples of african chants or something like that to be chopped up and sprinkled all over it imo. other than that can't point out anything wrong with it. good work.
@Relka+Reverb: that synth in the intro is lovely. really liking the textures you have in there. re: the synth, not sure if its a sample or an actual synth but i feel the melody it plays could evolve throughout the track instead of repeating itself. even if just adding an incidental note here and there to spice it up. i'm not sure about the drums tho, like the stereo imaging sounds very distracting for me on headphones. actually i think i like that synth's texture so much i feel this one should be a beatless ambient piece revolving over it. imo tbh fwiw bbq
@DanielFluid: quite liking this. the guitar works really nice with that slightly lofi vibe. i think the drums should stand out more in the mix, especially the break you got in the background, it's barely audible. also i feel adding glitch-hop ish incidentals to the drums would fit well and help make the beats more interesting throughout. wasn't sure about the synth in the second part but on second listen i like it better. also as pointed out by genrl, there's that strange pop in the intro and outro, if it's in the recording itself or cannot be fixed for some reason, maybe you could hide it by layering vinyl crackles or something like that over these parts so the pop doesn't stand out that much?
@cyclopedeyes: sick sound design. i hope it's not meant to end that abruptly tho? also, actually contrary to popular opinion, i think the kick is fine, it's the glassy sound coming at 0:47 that should be a tad louder in the mix so as to really be a counterpart to the kick, like a call/answer thing. idk tho, maybe its just me, blue dress white dress and all that
the b-side version is sick too btw, are these the tracks you thought about pressing on 7" in another thread?
@iron lung damnson: good shit! digging the subtle dirtyness of it. can't find anything aside that i would like to hear a more fleshed out of it (sorry for the shitty feedback tho )
@buddyweizen: nice sad 80's italo disco vibes. i feel there should be more melodic elements like the additional synth you have at the very end tho. to act as counterpart for the vocals and to help make it more interesting throughout.
nuun: really liking this one. maybe with a little less vocals, but personal opinion. also yes, as pointed by Danny on one of the pops, there are some weird artifacts that dont sound intentional (i think on the vocals) throughout the track. aside from that this one really sounds finished to me.

Hmm everyone kinda liked the breaks sample more than I thought apparently. Honestly it was meant to just be a very subtle element panned to one side to add a little bit of quiet swing to the beat, but I'll have to experiment with making it more noticeable now. Thanks everybody.
And yeah I think I just need to crossfade the end/start of the audio I used for the intro/outro.
Also as a closing note; I would say pretty much 90% of the WIPs I post here are planned to have vocals of some sort added, so I've been leaving some room for them as of late.

happy birthday bud
yeh faultier, thats a synth, could look into progressing it more actually cos it is just a 3-note right now... regards to drums, its almost become some kinda trademark for our collabs to have these weird pitched-down things, i'll check on headphones soon as i can to see what youre talking about

lol it does its herzlichen but i like härzliche too haha
ok i got a good handful of tunas i will upload in a few hours if sb got sth send it to me but we got def enough to run it this week
@defaultuzr
dig the mix of this one very nice and crisp
the vibe itself is good just not 100 precnt my type but its nicely put together no doubt
could be a nice tune to fill an album in a good way it doesnt shine like a hit but moves nicely through without getting boring
maybe one element to push it in a more sinister direction dunno though what it could be it has alot of atmosphere hard to tell
i do dig all the small dubdelays too just sth extra could give it a last push but it does work as it is too
@cyclopian
dig the intro right away nice arps
lol artsy beat structure
when itdrops it gets real nice i think hm the beat might drop too early i dunno it could have more impact when you wouldnt introduce it slowly
just maybe the hi hats or just play around with filters or maybe even big reverb on it until the beat drops like moving from wet to dry or making the room smaller or sth funky could work here and over the whole tune
but you got a solid basis here
dig the deep bass stabs alot maybe make a sectoin just beat bass but give the bass more power in those parts
@dannyfloyd
heard it a few times now still think you should give the beat more room or place it more in your face somehow
i like the whole vibe though just maybe more presence of the elements i mean i know you wanna add vocals but still tiny bit tighter
@genrl
wrote you def dig both alot
not much to say its kinda the stuff i try/wanna make sometimes in a dif style(your style)
but yeah dig the whole pad situation in the frosted window one this one def could have a vocal cover with some vocoder not saying that it doesnt work without it really nice tune all the dealys are placed at the right point
iron lung the same just nicely done stuff kinda wierdly would work as an ep even both together or a b side
not saying your wonky side is worth(edit:worse?!) jsut those shit i prefer
@relka
oha haha
this ones tight very wonky too but kinda works for me
i like the lofi and the whole rightleft panning could see this in a movie for a wierd walking through some asian market searching for sb leading into a chase situation
but with claymation

Default:
Love the vibe on this. The shuffly beat and deep bass line is great. Also really dig the delays. Not really got much to say apart from thus is great ( sorry for the shit feedback)
Cyclopia :
Really good love the interesting groove and the massive kick and the glitcht synth. My only feed back is that I can't wait to hear the full version
Danny:
Again notngotuch to say except get those vocals in to fill the gap. It sounds exactly alike that's what the track needs. I'd maybe like to hear the piano slightly clearer but I deffo dig that detuned stereo Reese ish thing.
Jizz:
This beat is fucking sick. Really really like this one! A couple of the panned bongo ish percs seem a little too wide to me and slightly distracting but that's my only criticism.
Bud:
That tune2: love the organic drums in this one and the vocal processing as usual. I'm very aware I'm being shit at feedback but this week I think everyone's submitted great shit aha. Sick tune.
Danny Floyd rmx: love that big brass shit and the trappy beat. I can't think of owt to say. Just another good tune
Hunting: that is so dark. I think maybe the intro could be fleshed out a bit with some pad stuff and I'm not dead sure about the hunting for witches sample but it works. This is a definite dancefloor tune .
The assets outweigh the liabilities over there, imo. And if we got the superdense core that remains here, over there, we'd have a good group over there, with a really fresh dose of new blood.
Book mark that shit just in case.
