I have traktor and i find it really easy to use and i've liked it, but i heard there were some issues with usb 3.0 i think? worth checking imo. and i havent heard about the mixer serato make tho

get a new mixer + serato, imo

i used both serato and traktor a bit in last few weeks and serato just feels a lot nicer to me. I'd also skip the mixer with integrated interface, just for the convenience. If you go to play out somewhere, you don't have to drag the mixer with you, and you can change the mixer if you ever decide to.

Yeah Ive used Traktor for a year so its got a pretty big head start. Saying that I used Serato the other week and it made alot more sense than when i tried both trails a year ago. The mixer seems to be a Spring 2014 thing based off their website so I guess thats why its not known about.

Mixer and serato is an option, just trying to minimize the amout of shit I could buy I could do with picking up some monitors as a 5.1 surround sound setup with the sub being twice the size of all the speakers combined is not ideal either.

yh i prefer serato, but not for any real reason just personal preference

yeah I've used both and i think serato is a bit nicer but i do like traktor and it is a lot cheaper iirc

But they cost more than a decent mixer + serato box.

i was never a fan on the rane mixer, but ya its nice to not have to fuck with the wiring. you can do a lot of stuff with looping and cue points too iirc, but i never really fucked with any of it.

id just get a mixer + serato

with serato you have the added benefit of not having to worry about getting stabbed by vynil purists!!
