2 New Tracks... Been a little while since i've posted.
Let me know your thoughts guys and gals

it seems Soundcloud pooched my track and added white noise randomly...WTF
"Machine March"

pluses:
+Crispy!
+Interesting samples
+Evil robot synths are always.... always a win
+little ditty synth is charming
+super, super sweep (2:20-2:45)
+'fiyah' sample before the 2:45 drop... epic win
+while i'm on that, the whole 2:45 drop is epic
+super flow, you have some serious skill
+starts to get so, so brutal at around 3:45, i can see myself clutching my head and spinning around on the dance floor already
+ending is awesome, seems like the synths just cant go on, haha

advice:
-'little ditty synth' takes from the menacing sound and 'marching' theme until it starts to get filtered
-random scream thing on the occasional off-beat... not sure what to think about it
-make as much music as you can, you might be the next datsik/excision

"The S.S."

Pluses:
+ :o :o :o :o :o
+umm.. jesus this is good, you do indeed lay down some serious sound
+epic variation of the wubz
+felt like i was listening to datsik
+"strained" breakdown teaser (1:52-2:04) is so epically awesome
+when the synths go into 1/16th oscillations with the upswing i almost want to cry
+what program do you use? whatever it is you make me want to switch
+never saw what was coming next, truly what i love about this genre
+thank you

Advice:
-"woo" sample is a little strange... good, but strange
-synths are maybe 1 and a half brutal notches away from being perfect!
-flow was PERFECT, i was personally looking for a slightly harsher sound with the synths, but i'm really just stretching for things to give advice on, i should be asking you for advice.

much love, added you on the 'space

My dubby ditty I finished up, love your feedback:

i like the variation of basslines throughout, not so hot on the arppegiated synth. high energy, definitely could get people dancing. overall pretty solid.
anything in particular you didnt like about the arp synth? or just the fact that it's an arp synth? haha
well it was good because it added that faster rhythm to the track, just wasn't a fan of the tone, thought maybe it could be dirtier.

Soundcloud
"Why Can't Anyone Hear Me"

Pluses:
+Always a good idea to get the crowd moving with the intro to a song, its hard to stay still when that beat comes on
+Nice strong electro feel to it
+That bass synth is filthy
+thumpingly good bass drum

Advice:
-the fade out/in at 0:55 seems a little awkward to me, if i were dancing i would probably look around at that point
-if you mixed up the pattern of the synth that comes in at about 1:36 i can imagine it sounding INSANE
-plasma blasts are a little rinsed, in my book
-love the repetition of the main bass riff, really just looking for more on the high end

"I Gotta Feeling (Hectic RMX)"

Pluses:
+good idea, awesome song to remix
+nice work on the vocals
+the breakdown at 1:51 is pretty brilliant, definitely was not expecting that
+sweet delay on the breakdown
+the "ooh hoo" part at 3:00 is gold! almost instant trance
+popular song, would probably get most mainstream clubbers cheering when they recognize it

Advice:
-Intro almost sounds like CPU overload when it glitches out.. is that for time/sync reasons?
-breakdown could be a tad heavier, doesnt seem to drop like it should
-some parts really just sound like cd skipping, maybe use less beat repeat and more beat mangle?

overall very good electro work! i could see these working nicely in a club

much love and keep it up :w:

Thanks very much for the feedback. Very comprehensive and detailed!

Tune in sig.

I'm bored with it. Gaps in the song were to be filled in with SFX, there are no sweeps, rises, or bits & bops.

Just posting to see what you think of what I "DO" have. Thoughts? Arrangement? Structure? Any feedback is appreciated...

Digging this one man. Great intro and tbh I wouldnt remove the first gap its great. I would add some sub under the lead abit later on but as I feel it lacks low end. Nice drums sounds also

thank you~! that is EXACTLY the sound i'm going for, so hearing you define it that way makes me very happy indeed...

and heh, well the most surefire way to get me to review your track is to comment on mine, so of course i'm gonna jump on it

Hectic - "Lost"

pluses:
+traditional sound with the chords on the offbeats, gives it a nice rasta feel
+that 'bubble build' (starting from 0:21 to first drop) is super unique and interesting
+drop got my head bobbing uncontrollably, INSTANTLY. thats a very good sign
+i would love to dance around to this, your drop drum beat is so grooving
+classic dub bass sound, nicely done
+delay snare done with authority! thats a tricky feat to pull off
+ending gets super groovin
+super smooth flow, perfect blend of mellow and dance, right up my dub alley

advice:
-'bubble build' mentioned above could be a little louder to give more build to the drop
-couldnt understand the sample? i assume it's what the soundcloud comment is but couldnt really tell... eh screw it, it's not like i can understand half of dub/dubstep samples anyway
-High ends dont really work for me in the beginning, not sure why because they sound fine in the main mix, they just felt a little awkward at the start without the bass and bump behind them. i honestly cant figure out why. maybe a little more rhythm and crisper hats building into the staggered beat would work.
-i think you could do better twisting the off-beat chords. sometimes they sound a bit like a keyboard player falling asleep (dont get me wrong they're good, but could probably be altered a little better)
-more layers (synth, not drum) would turn this into a gem... especially the endz

much love :w:

Ketamine - "Say My Name"

pluses:
+jitter synth at the start is priceless! had me bobbing as soon as the beat came in
+first gap is gold, a nice sample or sweep (which you say you're in the works of adding) or both would set it off, its timed perfectly
+"scratch" synth and robot twitches in the first drop adds very nice depth
+dubstep synth that comes in on the second drop is filthy!! almost sounds like an oscillating distorted guitar
+i like how the dirty synth grows and morphs into different sounds, it gets harsh but thats the way i likez it :)
+i like how your bass melody line is more than four measures, gives it a sweet 'up-n-down' feel, like most of the pros

advice:
-kept wondering to myself if the first drop was too messy and disjointed, i couldnt really decide one way or the other, but i think its the jittery layered synths fault. if you disagree then leave it be, its probably just my ears being weird
-i would cut the very beginning (jitter synth alone, before the drums) in half so it would get the song going faster, unless you want more of a targeting for when you want to throw it into a mix so you dont cut it too late.
-a little synth variation in oscillation automation towards the end would be epic.. unless you're planning on doing that live, which can be a hassle so biggup if that's what you're going to do
-maybe a doubletime feel at one point before a break would hit the spot, but that's just what i like to hear

much love :w:

Soundcloud
Wabberjocky - "Mongolian Dub"

pluses:
+that intro will definitely grab the audiences ears, sounds like one of those sweet throat vocals from freesound.org turning robot
+so, mongolian dub is a pretty appropriate title, which i always like when producers do, for some reason
+the high freq oscillations at the beginning are super tasty to my ears, would have super trippy effect on the ravers (me when im zonked at the club and not sipping tea writing reviews  )
+mongol samples are nicely in rhythm
+lots going on, tracks always changing, always good to see someone put lots of work into a track
+high freq build (@ 1:21 and others) is super nice, almost like a palate cleanser for the track
+drums have a unique feel to them towards the end, almost african (im from africa so i have a clue :P)

advice:
-the drop bass synth (@ 0:33) could be a little harsher/crisp/something, or maybe have a slight pause/build before it.. it doesnt really stand out and blast ya like i was hoping.
-the break (1:46-2:04) needs something new to come in on that drop
-the flow is great, structurally, but needs more dynamically.. feels like the build just flows throughout.. if you're going for an ambient track then its great as is, but to get people jumping you'll need something predictable/build-break type thing
-didnt really feel the sub bass (im using headphone so i may be totally stupid for saying that if it's ultra low but usually i can tell either way)

overall its a super unique groove/trance track, i thoroughly enjoyed listening to it multiple times to write this review

much love :w:
