Much, much longer than a month. It'll easily take close to a year for the front of your hair to reach the back of your head.

trust me your hair doesn't need to be that long to do this. with the product and backcombing it fools the eyes into thinking its all one long bit of hair but its really not.

To all the people saying let it hang. Tarzan hair looks cool but it is really impractical. It is constantly in your face.
I figure I have one more summer before I start getting serious about finding a job. At which point the hair gets cut.

Pretty much had longish hair most of my life barring the times I shaved my head.
I had cut it short to get a job, it's quite boring. I miss the shaggy hair.
