Its all subjective but....
Brick is a pile of overly self knowing cack. I see what their trying to do with it and they missed the target by a mile, the film had good points but even Hitler loved animals.
Knocked up to me was like Scrubs- very funny until the "and I learned that day blah blah vomit" part where we all get to learn and grow and man hug and cry.
And I liked Juno, sue me
And I will have to check out that Irish Martial Arts flick on youtube- Deadly

Grease, this is the biggest pile of shit ever filmed, and made even worse by the ridiculous fangroup and hype.
in fact any film that centres around teen drama interpreted through dance or song.

makes me sick.

Step away from the Internets.
Anyways, here's the definition of a film that's so bad that it's good. It's an Irish (yes, Irish) martial arts film from 1998.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatal_Deviation
Fatal Deviation is a low-budget cult film produced and set in Trim, County Meath, Ireland. Produced in 1998, it enjoys the distinction of being Ireland's first full-length martial arts film. The film stars real-life martial arts enthusiast James Bennett. Despite proceeding straight to video without a theatrical release, Fatal Deviation has through word-of-mouth become a much sought-after release and, indeed, something of a cult classic. Admirers cite its unusual and enchanting rural setting; its extensive use of local individuals with no acting experience or training to fill key roles; the protagonist's many memorable one-liners (e.g. "Fuck you and your gun, ya prick"); and the undeniable charisma and magnetism of its star. The film is also notable for its many plot holes, continuity errors, incoherent dialogue, badly-dubbed sound effects and a scene involving the consumption of cocaine using a Dunnes Stores Value Clubcard.
It's on youtube in 8 parts, first part is
here.
I watched this film last night and it is seriously one of the best things I have seen in my whole life.
Yes! It is hilarious. If just to see the performance of Mikey from Boyzone. To paraphrase Dennis Pennis, he was so wooden it looked like someone had thrown a chair in front of the camera.
Recently watched 'The Ruins'. Some mildly jumpy bits but pretty much shite all round.

Magnolia would actually be alright without him, but Tom Cruise as a sex guru? come on!
haven't seen Vanilla Sky, but can't imagine it's anything as good as Abre los Ojos (of which it is a remake).
MI II is fucking stylish! (John Woo = GOD)

The Ninth Gate was like a made for TV sort of thing - But I still enjoyed it - would not rate it too high...
I like those hokey psuedo satanic themes...like sin eaters working for the church...
In the late 80's there were lots of 11:00 TV films about high school witch girls who were courted by satanists...They always showed these creepy alters and chalices and sacrifices...
Never liked slasher films..but The Omen, Exorcist, and Amityville..they really messed me up for awhile..at that tender age..

..on the 9th Gate again..I think it also appeals to that romantic concept of Europe...sort of like, The Talented Mr. Ripley..or The Italian Job..
Travel Fantasy..

On first viewing Cloverfield was amazing, but on secondary viewing, it seemed a bit pants. The ultimate goal of the director seems to show society as a narcissistic bastard child of technology and selfishness. The main character doesnt even register his brother is dead until 3/4 of the way through the film because he's chasing the "love of his life," as a giant monster tears through NYC.
Exit wounds - SHIT. Steven Segal past his prime, and DMX... says it all really.
The Business - SHIT. The poor man's Snatch. Danny Dyer is a bit shite in it aswell.
Child's play - I guess it was good for it's time, but i watched it in the late 90's and teen angst/apathy was in good flow - the descensitisation of violence from "Wes craven's new nightmare," and "Scream," had also kicked in, so a child like doll running around killing everyone seemed tame... esp if you could tie the little wanker up with jubilee clips and set the fucker on fire in a "wicker people," esque ritual to kaali, with marylin manson playing in the background.

Anything with nicholas cage in it.
The film could have been more or less of some quality until the casting director finds cage a part and all goes to pot.
I mean windtalkers....fuck me he's annoying.

Haha...I hadn't thought about that movie in years! That flick probably had the longest rollerblade scene ever put on film.
