First attempts at shooting live music, The Croft in Bristol. Not trying to do promo shots or anything, capturing the vibe/moment or whatever. These are from the last two nights.
Was empty so the bands just played/rolled around the floor.
Pinch.
Dubloaded.

Some of those were with the Nikon 50mm 1.4, but the room is far too small for it. Got a 20mm for tonight.
Wasn't really too sure what to do in post, can't do much with such high ISO. Crazy dark in there, had to shoot 1500iso, smallest aperture and 0.6 - 3.0s exposures to even get an image out. Black walls & small stage lights are no fun.

Shot 'Deez Nuts' (thugcore hxc hip-hop...) last night. So hot & sweaty the 20mm was unuseable Had to use the 16-85mm and it's tooo fucking dark.

I like keeping things simple, dmz-style.
Here are 2 designs I made for sybl vs. basl soundcloud mixtapes
Well I have a rather odd question...
I used to love drawing things, anything, especially characters and stuff -graffiti alike-, still love it...
... but nowadays I don't have any inspiration and I just draw line to line to dot and I haven't got a clue what it is it's actually quite freaky...
So does anyone have any tips for me? So I can pick up drawing again.

The first two shots you posted are sweet man, the dude rolling around on the floor is perfect, looks like you captured the essence of the night in that shot by your short description.
As for the struggling with the minimal lighting, could be worth using a speed light on manual turned down really low, angled away from subject and a dome diffuser added. I know you probably don't want to destroy that moody, low lighting feel that goes hand in hand with these type of gigs, but it means you can shoot at a lower ISO for fuck all noise, and you can darken the mood and tone down the lighting in post afterwards. opens up the options for some nice creative gig photography.
