Tbh, you could say the same about so many things... most 90s hiphop beats are simple as fuck, but that doesn't stop them being masterworks - it's the act of spotting the sample, tracking the right break and matching with the perfect MC that makes the difference between that one tune you made in your bedroom that your mates said was kind of cool and a stone-cold Gangstarr classic.
I could recreate most Dilla or Rza beats easy enough... but could I write one? Hmm...

social networking is an invaluable surveillance tool and sites such as facebook and twitter should be used to monitor, log and eventually intern undesirable members of society. e.g. people who 'like' brands' facebook pages, people who post their opinions on tv programmes in 'real time', people who experience themselves via a series of hash tags, people who jump parasitically from cause to cause draining it of any credibility before hopping to the next 'trend' etc....

that footwork that rayman612 posted reminds me a bit of james blake/mount kimbie-ish tunes - can't really come with a solid opinion on it, sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't.
