the music ive seen him play is a far cry from evil....

Don't be so quick to assume, I have trouble imagining that actually. The plot of the film seems more fitting with darker 2-step garage (at least in my mind)... I hope so anyway, would definitely give a much more truthful and accurate image of the underground scene and culture. Either way, its something I want to see :)
hollywood... u really expect subtlety?

From the initial post, describing your movie as "wubb-filled" with "high-energy and relentless beats" pretty much says it all. Pretty sure the lead character will be sporting a "I <3 Mustache and Filthy Fridays" t-shirt for 90 minutes.

It is premiering at the Sundance film festival... the films there are more on the artsy side... I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bit of subtlety, doesn't seem too unusual really :/

is it really that perplexing that an american made film, premiering in america, will not showcase the american sound?

Bascially, it's the fact that he's trying to be Skrillex, the way he dresses, even the way he fucking moves to his "songs".. His teeth.. :|
His eyes were the icing on the top for me.
