It does though. His whole point was that something was relevant in the old days, you came in and said "shall we do away with something that was also relevant in the old days" to try and make him look negative, but it's already been done away with.

Maybe not do away with but your comment on why we still celebrate birthdays sparked it.
Gareth summer never applied to people who worked so you can't use it as am example for something that's been done away with

You brought up how it was no longer relevant, because people (everyone, not just students) aren't harvesting anymore, so should we do away with it? But it already HAS been done away for the vast majority of folk, so you proved yourself wrong in the beginning.
