almost 160 killed this month, most criminals and policemen. Last week an 80 year old retired officer was shot dead in his own house.

Only a small portion of the population could participate in the democracy. You had to be an Athenia citizen, a male son of an athenian father, 21+, no debts and rich, it was terrible. And don't post a Plato's Republic link, it was a model to fascist societies.

Not saying Plato is an idiot, he was my second favourite philosopher back in Philosophy class (John Locke is #1) but he was really biased and distorted the Sophism through Socrates (who's most likely to be nothing more than a character in his books) and his idea of a Republic is terrible.
