i think its safe to say their minds were blown by miike's power and grace. watched Audition first which is a serious bummer of a movie, then topped it off with Ichi while we were talking and drinking, which has a bit more fun and humorous

Did they see the humour in Ichi The Killer?
Some people don't get it and think I'm weird for finding it funny in parts

I just saw the A-Team which was alright. Fun action movie pretty much.
Really though I'm just waiting for
Inception which I think will be 2010's Matrix. Now, The Matrix trilogy is my favorite film (/favorite thing) of all time, so that should show how high my hopes are for Inception. I think it has so much potential to really really realllllllly kick ass. I hope I'm not totally wrong

I watched The Matrix recently. I loved it at the time, but it really doesn't hold up... has dated quite badly I think, mostly cause of Keanu.
Was quite excited to watch this as the slashfilm podcast gave it a good review, but I thought it was pretty bloody awful. It's trying to be a bit Anchorman but for action films, but resorts to dick jokes far too often and sticking celery up asses. I giggled a few times, mostly at Val Kilmer's character, but yeah... fucking shite. Avoid.

just watched "grow your own" which is based around immigrants to the U.K given a patch at an allotments, sounds dull but definitely isn't. one of the most moving films i've seen, funny too highly recommended and for people that can get it it's currently on the iplayer.

SUN-RAAAAAAAA!
I watched these over past few days...
This was excellent. I really didn't expect it. I thought it was going to be Shrek-2-DVD, but it turned out to be the best Shrek film my quite some margin. Excellent story, great bad guy, lots of action and plenty of adult humour.
This one is pretty fucking depressing, and doing it's best to be worthy. However it's a good film, with solid preformances. Don't normally rate spiderman as an actor, but this is the best he's been. Emotional performance. Portman is gorgeous as always.

inception definitely looks interesting, like Momento but on a grand scale
