Not regular SA, but I think I had you beat with SA:MP Cops 'n Robbers. The server had a daily lottery you could play, I won quite a few times.
I kept most of it in the bank, but it used to get robbed a lot so I started just carrying it on me and my multiplayer entourage would protect me in exchange for me buying them vehicles and weapons. Fuck that game was fun.

MAN KNOWS!!!
SA:MP cops and robbers (Team Neo server) with my mate in the same room on a different machine is possibly the best online gaming I've ever had.
I always played with a PS2 pad hooked up to my PC. I had a reputation for organising motorbike races around the rail tracks and always winning.
I didn't play the game for about 18 months then went back on the same server and challenged someone to a race and they said "No way. You're the guy with the pad" which was possibly the most satisfying gaming-related moment of my life.
Anyway, yeah, sick mod/server. I honestly can't believe Rockstar didn't implement the cops & robbers format for GTAIV online...its amazing.

aren't they doing it for gta v?
im sure i read that somewhere, if they are doing gang wars they better fucking do cops and robbers.
oh and the roleplaying servers on samp are brilliant as well.
i got my qualifications and went to cop school and then became an FIB agent.
GTAV has been the subject of much speculation, with many analysts believing the game will be on store shelves by March 2013, despite Rockstar having remained silent on its release date.

This will be my first GTA.
And if Red Dead Redemption is anyting to go by I have nothing but confidence this will be worth every single cent.

haha me and my mate were reminiscing over Vice City last night, we ended up listening to a bunch of the tracks from that game (greatest soundtrack to a game ever? I think so!)
There's a sort of trailer out, showcasing some of the graphics. It's much prettier/better lit than IV (a good thing, the lighting and graphics were often blurry and hard to distinguish)

I just hope they optimised the code for the pc version. If they did then it should'nt be that much more demanding than GTA4. Because that needed maybe30-40% more processing power than it should have.

ERMMMEEHHHHGGERRRRRDDDDDD!!!
This is the only reason I still have that Xbox sat in the corner collecting dust.
Coincidently, GTAIV is the only reason I bought a 360 in the first place...
