Juke/house/trap/'techno' is honestly the worst thing to happen to dubstep. The same promoter put on Boxcutter last month (who I never got to see) but he played under his new alias The Host, sounded pretty weak from what I heard.
Anyone know what Milanese is up to?

Ital Tek's juke shit is mad good though.
I saw Milanese booked for a huge ass party again? Probably a one off thing cuz the price was right tbh.

Genevieve, that "drumfunk concept" tune is pretty sick! There's nothing wrong with other one either though, for a starting point i'd say it was pretty a good one! Anybody else produce here?
Also, has Milanese stopped with the music or something?

Liking both your productions, I don't know shit about it but they're good, keep it up.
Acid Bath sample
Milanese posted some studio footage like 6 months ago with the comment;
"Clip from recent recording session at the games studio I work at. Many of the recordings and sound design I've done over the past few years will eventually end up being used for music, just no releases for a while..."
I think Milanese has been doing game scores... not sure though. There's a new tune of his on that EE comp.
Disagree on the house/techno/whatever thing. I hated it at first and a lot of it is just a flavour of the month who can make the biggest banger contest, but still better than brostep imo. At least it doesn't give me headaches.

The breakcore.nl 'Themeless' compilations are worth a go.
Any suggestions for stuff like this? Cold, industrial eerie sounds pl0x
This is awesome too, O'malley from Sunn but somewhat more listenable.
Neither of these belong in this thread really but might as well upon it up, distinct lack of interesting sounds elsewhere on this forum...

For stuff like Raime check Demdike Stare (though a bit too hipsterish imo), recent Andy Stott (though I doubt you'll like it), Cut Hands (Whitehouse side-project), Vatican Shadow.
But if you want cold industrial shit:
Lustmord. I think Hecate collabed with him at some point actually.
In Slaughter Natives
MZ.412
Brighter Death Now
alot of the Cold Meat Industries stuff really, doesn't get more dark or cold than that.

Excellent, cheers, vast amounts of shit to delve through!
Raime are pushing my hipster boundries a bit, but I can't deny they make some cool sounds.

Yeah, I'm surprised I like Raime too. Generally don't like artists with that "ooo I'm so obscure" vibe going on.
Demdike Stare are on a similar tip. But I got bored of them a lot faster. They're really good live though.

apart from broken note and milanese, what's the closest we've come to some good dubstep/breakcore hybrid? There's a few tunes on Ruff but that's about it... anything else?

There's quite a lot of it really, tends to just be single tracks than dedicated artists though...
This compilation is well worth getting.
Stay with it...dayum.
Shame King Cannibal just packed it in too. Surprise surprise...he's started a house alias
Boxcutter's Glyphic & Oneiric are essentials IMO.

Liked your tune btw. Inspired by the flashcore shit?

fuck, i''ve been missing out on boxcutter! Will get the albums asap! Oh and i don't really enjoy bong-ra but that tune is large! Cakebuilder did some steppy stuff but it was more just dubstep than anything else.
The tune i made wasn't really inspired by anything really, i was just messing around with spectral morphing and morphed drums samples to samples i made of me hitting metal bars, liked the result and made a tune!

hmmm you can try this EP http://www.discogs.com/Mobthrow-Mutant- ... se/1678984 but it's more Vex'd sounding than breakcore... was looking for this kinda stuff a few years back. Didn't really found anything besides what has already been mentioned here.
