yeah i kinda agree. but pretty much everything else he has made i have absolutely loved. plus he does medi heads so thats a plus.

yh i love tunnidge music too that´s why i expected more fore a medi ep

and even though i like most of the newer chestplate stuff, it doesn't have as much replay value imo

i really like the latest tunnidge 12 on medi. took a little time though (apart from twenty12 which was an instant favourite). never heard any of those tunes being played apart from mala, so overrated is probably not the right term.

Sometimes ironically the VIP ends up getting a release and the original stays a dub.

TBF they were going on Yunx show and they're from NZ (?).. its not a regular thing so they had to bring something different. If they had only played the original and left it a month or so the next time we'd be hearing it is likely to be Youngsta playing it, completely understand why they wanted to play it themselves.

But yeah I agree its shit when VIPs pop up so quickly.

Just listened, big tune (mainly due to the original being beefy as fuck) but sounds a bit rushed to me.

Don't mind when a VIP comes out providing it actually flips/expands on the original and isn't just a few arrangement changes with some edits just for the sake of getting it played.

Good examples of VIPs (limiting it to recent Yunx sets for discussions sake) i'd say would be: Badman VIP, Acid Step VIP, Strong Root VIP, Kenzo's VIPs go off in the dance but aren't that different.

Naff examples: Lie Detection VIP, Blank Space VIP, Masai Mara VIP, Good Old Days VIP.

Bored procrastination but yeah VIPs....
