@ ChrisH, add a tad bit of 'verb to the snare at the start to give it some space, bass sounds a little top heavy for my liking, eq it out a bit maybe?

@ miss_molinari, I like the ghost hits, maybe process the percussion a little more to put them more in the background?

@ Rendr, Deep track man would love to do a collab, I wanna get into the chilled out stuff like that

My new one is "Dragons"

I probably wont' change it despite suggestions, I am looking for ways I could improve my next track though from mistakes I've made in this,

Cheers

Hi guys, common courtesy in this thread to comment on previous posts before posting your own up (otherwise noone would get feedback if they just posted tunes up) this is what makes it different from the dubs section.

@inv4sion, your mixes are sounding really good, theres a lot of space in there I like that, any quick pointers you wanna give me hehe

@white sta, I take it you want us to listen to v2 of dubber brother? I like it, the sounds are pretty cool, maybe bring the sub bass in a lot sooner and switch it up a bit later on?

seen as I've commented on about 8 now without any feedback I'm gonna bump my earlier post: -

@Lowpass
Thanx bro, I have been working on that for years. Sound is a big problem for me since I started DJing D&B about 10 years ago... My ears are not the best anymore. :( I stopped playin out now..

Well I use all the advice I can find on this forum or doa.. Or any other good site out there. I guess I use the same stuff(vst´s) as you guys.

There is still so much more for me to learn.. Right now im working on creating those monster dubstep basslines.. Its mashing up my head! lol

I hope I can find help here!

Relax mate, there's a lot o stuff on here to go through. I HAVE been listening to other people's stuff, and there are some good tracks on here, one or two of which are yours, also got to mention Big Earl, Miss Molinari, Egoless, Abs and more.

when I get the time, I'll offer up some suggestions. After all I thought the idea was to exchange information and ideas, or am I completely wrong??

Havin' a dig at someone else 'aint gonna further the cause.

Have a little patience and some faith in the system. Please.

I think he was suggesting that you offer some thoughts on other peoples tunes before you just post yours up.

Point taken, I was getting round to offer some thoughts. Bearing in mind I have only been on the forum for a week... having someone diss you and offer sarcastic comments isn't perhaps the most balanced and best way to encourage newcomers to the forum

But thanks for putting me straight on that one. I appreciate your more direct approach!

and here are those thoughts,

in4vision, I'm feeling '33' at the moment, nice placement of sounds and I like the intro, 'life cycle' has a cool Board Of Canada vibe about it. Good Stuff.

B-Lam, I like 'Autumn' some really good ideas there, 'Blue' is nice as well. I particularly like the use of guitar in your tracks.

Miss Molinari, 'Ezekiel' is cool, nice Techno touches and use of the Pulp Fiction sample in there, also nice percussion. sounds finished as it is.

Dubson, Feelin' 'Expect' on your player, nice and minimal, I like the use of the flutes which has been mentioned elsewhere.

Abs, 'Shell Village' sounds similar to some of Richard James's 'Polygon Window' stuff. It's good, deffo keep this up, try messing with some different percussion/drum sounds. It's got a strong melodic feel which I like!

Demos, 'Temptation' is great, I wouldn't change much, maybe vary the beat a bit, chop it up a bit. Real potential there though.

These are folk i've been listening to quite a bit, there's others as well and I'll get round to showing some love on those tracks ASAP.

Lets all try to get on and spread the vibes innit?

drunk drummer has got a really haunting vibe to it from the intro which is pretty cool

think I prefer ashtray jazz definately, a lot deeper, feeling that mate.

@mondayschild - mate my dig was aimed directly at you, I just get wound up when people are sposed to give feedback in this thread in exchange for feedback on theirs.

I gave responses to a few people and got ignored, gave 3 more responses to other posts before being bombarded by another page of "first track, listen to my tunes"

so I give up even more feedback and my posts are just drowned out by even more links to songs, its getting to the point of why bother. If people could make more of an effort to check out other peoples stuff before just posting up link after link of their own in future.

O.k, Lowpass, i can understand your frustration. If i pissed anyone off, i didn't mean it intentionally.

From now on, i'll comment on other stuff before posting.

Can we all now move on and concentrate on the tunes.....

Sick bassline, hits real nice and hard, nice amount of (sub-)bass as well as that great sawtooth-y sound over it
