the fact is - it has been remixed, and we're aware that you don't like the remix after repeatedly stating that for a few pages. so shut up and jog on.

this is so grim
people talking authoritatively about what is or isn't 'real'..

shouldnt have been remixed cause its a classic? thats bullshit in all honesty.
this remix makes the same tune useable for a different application, ie making people go apeshit on a dancefloor. sure the original is a classic, but its a classic for entirely different reasons to the merits of this remix. admittedly, not as deep as the original, but i think nero was quite obviously not going for that kind of vibe...
i dont get how any of you can slate someone so harshly thats working hard to support a scene you consider yourself part of. if you have that much of a problem with it, dont support it, dont buy it, dont listen to it, go out for a cig when you hear it at a rave, whatever. but dont bash people who are working much harder than you for dubstep in general, especially seeing as most of you will never produce a tune that comes close to this.
it makes me cringe whn i see people sucking up to well known producers on this forum, but id rather that than this absolute bollocks. to be honest i think you should be fucking ashamed. its one thing having an opinion, saying youre not feeling something, but this has become a proper bitchfest, its painful to read.
where the fuck has that "dubstep family" vibe gone?

all opinions should always be welcome
if anything there isn't enough critical evaluation of the music coming out...at least in balance with the umpteen threads of ppl saying big up such and such

theres a difference between sharing an opinion and being bare faced rude though... and most people seem to be saying Nero have "killed a classic"...
urgh, its stuck up "purists" like that who prevent people out there trying something new.
you think people all slated squarepusher when he released his version of love shall tear us apart? because (no disrespect to mj cole) i think in the grand scale of things, that track is much more of a classic, yet reworking it for a different kind of vibe created another brilliant song. probably not the best comparison, but i hate it when people say certain tunes shouldnt be remixed, and when people lay down this heavy attack on people cause theyve given something new a go.

I don't see how it's rude if people think that...i'm personally pretty indifferent towards the remix...
tom jenkinson covered that song and recreated it from scratch and showed he has a pretty good voice...nero just wobbled a tune....i don't see how they're the same thing....
i find it odd how these threads develop

yeah i suppose, as i said my comparison wasnt exactly very good, but the point im trying to make is even though the original tune is amazing, nero arent trying to ride off the back of this or anything, they are simply adapting a tune to be useable in a different environment, if that makes sense?
im not trying to say people shouldnt share opinions, and to dislike a song isnt a bad thing obviously, but to talk something down in such an agressive way on the premise of it being somehow sacrilegious to remix a tune is pretty silly i think.
maybe the guys sat down and thought, ok, we really like this tune, and want to share it with people, but it wouldnt fit in with the rest of the kind of stuff we play... i know, lets do a bit of a re edit of it so it will fit in a bit more tidily?
some of the people out there who turn up at dubstep nights to hear this kind of wobbley (!?!... it isnt even a wobble!) stuff will hear this tune, look it up, find out its a remix, then possibly look up the original on youtube or something, then make their own decision as to which version they like best. surely exposing people to the song you all hold in such high regard is a good thing?
however some people dont seem to understand this, and bash it just because the original is "untouchable". if mj cole himself is cool with this remix, who is anyone else to say otherwise?
the idea that a song is so good it shouldnt be remixed is absurd to me. if you love something that much, it doesnt seem at all unusual or disrespectful to want to add your own personal touch or flavour to the original.
rly?

Not sure why I feel the need to contribute but Sincere is one of my top 10 tracks of all time from any genre and I couldn't care less that they've done this mix, different strokes for different folks. Please people!?! Have you heard how many remixes there have been of Strings of Life, or Blue Monday, or god knows, whatever? Live and let live.
