My apologies; lesson learned. I genuinely hadn't seen the word outside of history classes tbh before meeting this girl.

In my defense, she used it first though pretty tongue-in-cheek... and in a "wife=squaw" context, not an "any native girl=squaw" context. But I think I'll chill on that one, I definitely don't need it in my lexicon if it's as culturally dodgy as you reckon... thanks for the polite wrist-slap!
