Wilshere is actually the best English talent by some distance and he is an extremely good player who plays way beyond his years.

He's not fit, pretty unfair to judge him on that game. Giroud is looking more like Bendtner every game

think Giroud will get there. there was a chance that he did really well to control, perfect touch, then he looked like he sky'd it but actually was pretty close from an angle. though he was gonna come with age with that moment. He will find his shooting boots sooon i think, plus he has lots of other good characterstics, wins a fuck load of balls in the air in midfield/ final third. That chest down to podolski against norwich was class. He needs to sort it out before end of the season though or he might find more competition next year.
I'm happy with a point against everton, important they did not gain any ground on us. If we can get a point at Man U, and win the rest I think its looking good. Gutted Arteta didnt do better with that late chance, should have buried it or squared it to giroud earlier.

Also Melovich, way off the mark there, he has been poor last two games but obvs just been injured, before this last injury he was looking absolutely amazing

Giroud has 17 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions this season, not bad for his first season at a new club where has has often come on as a substitute.

Giroud is what he is, a £12million striker from the french league. He's done pretty well, he tries hard and will hopefully improve.
I'd be disappointed if he's our main striker at the start of next season though, we've gotta go out and sign someone that can make an impact in the CL (assuming we qualify).
As much as I hate Suarez the tnuc we need someone like him, someone who will not stop terrorizing defenders for the full 90. Having said that it looks like we'll sign Jovetic which would be a typical Wenger signing. Groundhog season part 5 awaits

Jovetic is class but he's not the sort of player you need tbh. But he is probably better than anybody you have now. I would take him at Newcastle in a heartbeat
