@ DFD - i haven't pirated a tune in well over 6 years. everything in my HD is payed for, and everything in my record box is payed for, so i dont really know what conclusion you're trying to come to tbh.

paying to listen to tracks without buying them is really not similar to listening to them on youtube. half the youtube uploads don't or didn't have permissions and the only reason youtube is even a viable place to listen to music is cos the sheer force of piracy made it impossible to police out of existence. so now theyve taken another tack. ads. you telling me you only click on youtube videos that obviously have permissions? gimme a break (and, if you do, just lol), and the only reason you can do this is cos of rampant piracy

i honestly really couldnt give two shits about music piracy. i just dont think the fact you have a HD drive full of legally acquired music makes the fact you listen to music without paying for it somehow qualitatively different from people who have a HD drive full of illegally acquired music that they got because they wanted to listen to music without paying for it
