hell yeah tetsuo is mad......did the version you watch have a black and white short at the end of the dvd with some kid banging on giant pieces of metal out in the desert? saw it years ago, can't remember the name of that short or why it was at the end of tetsuo.

Phigure wrote:Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon

Great mockumentary that takes place in a world where all the serial killers of slasher films were real. It follows an aspiring serial killer and all the clichés of slasher films. Funny, exciting, original. Make sure to watch the credits.

gona watch this now, sounds excellent

behind the mask is awesome. the whole message of the movie is when they're interviewing his family and his sister says something about how they used to not like dude's line of work, but when you do what you love, everything tends to work out. or something to that effect. it's been a while but it's basically saying Do What Thou Wilt Shall Be The Whole Of The Law. it's also real jungian with the yin/yang needing each other to exist.

yeah i gota say i enjoyed the first half of the film a lot more than the second half

the idea of the good/bad balance and the necessity (and inevitability) of evil are nice additions aswell

cool film

Man Bites Dog is qual, not seen it for years, should rewatch.

Watched this last night. Disposable but enjoyable popcorn fun. First half is pretty high octane, but it runs out of ideas about an hour in and kind of fizzles out. Shame.

Pretty rad, but the story about the little black dolls getting their "reparations" pissed me off. The rest of the political statements were a bit more bearable.
